Kyrgyzstan: Internal Affairs Department investigator detained for extortion of a bribe

Employees of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes, with the participation of the Internal Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, while receiving a bribe, detained an investigator of the Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Bodies of Tokmok.

“It has been established that the detainee extorted money for the termination of the criminal case,” the Financial Police said. It is noted that the amount of the bribe was $ 385.

This fact is registered in the Unified Register of Crimes and Misdemeanors on the grounds of a crime prescribed in Article 326 “Extortion of a bribe” of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. Pre-trial proceedings are currently underway.
