Turkmenistan: citizens are detained for discussing events in Kazakhstan

Law enforcement authorities of the city of Balkanabad detained two teenagers for discussing the events developing in Kazakhstan.

 According to an ACCA source, after the young guys were brought to the department, the policeman hit one of the guys in the stomach. The guys’ parents were called to the police; they were threatened with dismissal and deprivation of parental rights, and the guys were threatened with expulsion and sending them to the colony for minors in the city of Bayram-Ali. The police also checked the content of their smartphones. The adolescents and their parents were forced to write notes stating that the parents were obliged to monitor their children, and the adolescents gave a subscription that they would no longer discuss the situation in Kazakhstan.

At the moment, the detainees are at their homes.
