Tajikistan: court employee tried to sell her position for $ 5,000
A criminal case on charges of fraud was initiated against the secretary of the I. Somoni district court of Dushanbe by the Anti-Corruption Department.
The press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency reported that in December last year, Mizhgon’s court secretary, Umar Muzaffarzoda, promised a certain citizen to arrange him as a court secretary and demanded $ 5,000 for her services.
As the investigation found out, she took half of the amount in cash, instead of the remaining amount, she took a used Opel car.
A criminal case has been initiated against Muzaffarzoda under Article 247 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. The investigation into this case is ongoing.
