Kyrgyzstan: The court declared violations during the detention of Bolot Temirov

On February 15, the City Court of Bishkek considered an appeal filed by the lawyers of journalist Bolot Temirov. The Judicial Board left the decision of the first instance unchanged. This was reported in the press service of the City Court.

At the same time, the judges came to the conclusion that during the detention of the journalist, the norms of the Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan were violated by officials of the investigative service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs.

“In this connection, a rider was issued in relation to these persons,” the court said.

It’s worth recalling that the founder of Temirov LIVE channel Bolot Temirov and akin Bolot Nazarov were detained on January 22 on suspicion of using and manufacturing drugs. During a search of the company’s office and a body search, drugs were found at Bolot Temirov, presumably hashish.
