Kyrgyzstan: bailiffs embezzled more than $ 13,000

The prosecutor’s check revealed the fact of misappropriation of $ 13,855 (1 million 173.6 thousand KGS) by bailiffs of Issyk-Kul region.

During the inspection by the Prosecutor’s Office of Issyk-Kul region, it was established that certain officials of the Department of the bailiff service of this region, by a court decision, sold the property of one of the boarding houses located in Kara-Oi village (Issyk-Kul region).

“After its sale, they appropriated a fee of 10 % of the amount that was to be collected. According to the act of the prosecutor’s response, the damage caused to the state has been fully compensated,” the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

This fact is registered in the Register of misdemeanors and crimes. The investigation into this case is ongoing.
