Kazakhstan: officials sold driver’s licenses for the amount of $ 500 thousand

The Anti-Corruption Agency launched an investigation into a group of people, including employees of the specialized public service center (PSC) of the city of Nur-Sultan, as well as doctors, who organized the illegal issuance of driver’s licenses.

According to preliminary data, illegal driving licenses were issued through the Special PSC using fake medical certificates and certificates of graduation from driving schools, without actual training of citizens, passing theoretical and practical exams.

For their services, the sellers of driving licenses took a reward of $ 200 to $ 300. In total, over two thousand driver’s licenses were issued, for a total amount of about $ 500 thousand.

“During the searches, 7 seals of driving schools, 479 forms of graduation certificates and fictitious medical certificates of form-№086 with the signatures and seals of doctors, without filling in the personal data of persons were seized. Holders of such certificates are potential violators of traffic rules, and their actions may entail serious consequences for road users, ” commented in the department.
