In Kyrgyzstan, Financial police officer was arrested for bribe

In the case of extortion of a bribe, the deputy chief of the operational department of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes was arrested. This was reported by Sputnik news agency with reference to the Pervomaisky city court.

According to preliminary information, the Financial police officer received bribes for covering up smuggling. It was supposed to ensure the free passage of heavy trucks to Kyrgyzstan, bypassing border control. For each car, he allegedly received $300-$400.

The Pervomaisky court passed judgment on the deputy Head of the Operational department of the Financial Police and his accomplice – to be detained until November 24 during the investigation.
