In Kyrgyzstan, employees of the penitentiary service were detained for drug transfer to prisoners
Officers of Drug Enforcement Service stopped the drug trafficking and distribution channel for prisoners. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On March 21, officers of the State Penitentiary Service (SPS) were detained near a penal colony while trying to illegally transport prohibited items to a penal colony in the village of Moldovanovka.
“They were the operator of the checkpoint of the institution No.1 (junior sergeant) and the clerk of the 2nd SPS battalion (sergeant). Marijuana and plastic bottles with alcohol were found and seized from them,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs.
This fact is registered in the Unified Register on the grounds of a crime under the article 267 “Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of marketing” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainees were placed in the temporary detention center of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital. The investigation is ongoing.
