In Kyrgyzstan, during two weeks in September, damage from corruption amounted to $170.000

For the 14 days of September, the Financial police reimbursed 11.9 million KGS ($170.000) to the state budget; it’s the damage caused by the fight against economic crime.

On September 2, the Financial police reimbursed monetary damage to the state budget in the amount of 39.7 million KGS ($568.7 thousand).

“Today, the total amount of funds received from the State Service for Economic Crimes Control is 807.418.287 KGS ($11.5 million),” the Press service of the Financial police said.

Recall that the Common deposit account was opened by a decree of the Government of Kyrgyzstan on June 22, 2018. The account accumulates the funds received from the compensation of damage caused to the state in criminal cases, economic and official crimes. Money, at the discretion of the government, is used to build schools, repair roads and solve other social problems of society.
