In Kyrgyzstan, another official was detained while receiving a bribe
The State Service for Combating Economic Crimes has detained an employee of the Department of Architecture of Suzak district. This was reported to ACCA by a law enforcement agency.
It is noted that an investigation has been launched against an employee of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Suzak district on suspicion of extorting a bribe.
“A private entrepreneur turned to us. He informed that an officer of the Department of Architecture demanded $260 (20 000 KGS) from him for issuing permits to continue the construction,” the Financial Police specified.
During the investigative and operational activities, the responsible officer was detained red-handed while receiving a bribe.
“The employee of the Department of Architecture was detained while transferring money to him. The bills were marked in advance,” the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes specified.
Pre-trial proceedings are currently underway.
