In Kyrgyzstan, an official was arrested for taking a bribe

The Department’s Head of Karakol city administration of architecture of Issyk-Kul region received a car as a bribe. This was reported by the Press service of the Financial police of Kyrgyzstan.

A female citizen of Kyrgyzstan appealed to law enforcement agencies and said that the Department’s Head of Karakol city administration of architecture of Issyk-Kul region received the bribe from her in the form of VAZ car for registering a land. However, he did not comply with the terms of the deal, and the car received as a gift was not returned.

The Financial police opened a criminal case under the Article 325 “Receiving a bribe” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and detained the suspect.

“During the pre-trial proceedings, the fact of receiving a bribe was confirmed. The car was placed on a specialized parking place. The investigation is ongoing,” the Financial police said.
