In Kyrgyzstan, 458 officials were held accountable in 2019

In 2019, the prosecution authorities canceled 2058 decisions to refuse instituting criminal proceedings, of which 1753 crimes and 305 misconduct were registered in the Unified Register.

It is noted that concerning 26 586 criminal cases, the prosecution authorities gave written instructions on the conduct of certain procedural actions.

“Based on the results of the revealed violations committed by the investigation and inquiry bodies, 1049 submissions were made and 276 disciplinary proceedings were instituted. According to the results of the consideration of these violations, 458 officials were brought to disciplinary action, including from the Internal Affairs bodies, the State Committee for National Security, the State Penitentiary Service and the Financial Police,” the Prosecutor General’s office said.
