In Kazakhstan, judge is suspected of systematic bribery

The anti-corruption service of Turkestan region prevented the fact of bribery by a judge of a specialized administrative court of Saryagash region.

As part of the investigation, the judge’s involvement in the systematic receipt of bribes from police officers of Saryagash region for unhindered consideration of administrative materials on violation of migration legislation by foreign citizens is checked. “The final decision on the degree of guilt of the suspect will be made by the court,” the report said.

Meanwhile, in the city of Chimkent, on the basis of the results of the pre-trial investigation, the head of the internal audit service of the city mayor A. Slamov was fined $23 000. He was charged with receiving $3000 from the director of the Music College of the Educational Department in Chimkent for making a positive audit decision conducted at the college for the period of 2018-2019.
