Kyrgyzstan: an employee of Social Fund was detained while receiving bribe

When receiving a bribe, an employee of the Social Fund Department of Sokoluk district of Chui region was detained. This is reported by the State Committee for National Security.

Within the framework of materials registered in the unified register, under Article 343 “Extortion of a bribe” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, on January 19, while receiving money, a leading specialist of the Social Fund Department of Sokoluk district of Chui region was detained red-handed.

“The pre-trial proceedings established that on January 17, a resident of Sokoluk district applied to an employee of the Social Fund Department to obtain an extract on social contributions made for the last 10 years. In turn, the employee of the Social Fund, having previously studied the information on social contributions, said that she had certain violations, in connection with which he proposed to positively resolve her issue for a monetary reward,” the SCNS said.

At present, the detainee has been placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security.
