Kyrgyzstan: accused of murder sewed his mouth shut in courtroom

Pervomaiskiy District Court of Bishkek continues the trial of the murder of crime boss Almazbek Sulaimanov, nicknamed Limonti.

The crime boss was killed in March 2020, in his hometown of Naryn. For the investigation, it was not a mystery who was guilty of the crime, since Talgat Shamiev himself brought the corpse of Sulaimanov to the Department of Internal Affairs and confessed to the murder.

According to him, the reason for the deed was revenge on Sulaimanov for the murder of his father, Imangazy Shamiev, also a member of an organized criminal group.

During the hearing, the judge decided to extend the duration of the judicial proceedings and, accordingly, the period of detention of the accused by two months.

Disagreeing with the judge’s decision, the accused sewed his mouth shut right in the courtroom.
