The sibling of the Turkmen activist Kakamurad Khydyrov is under intense pressure from the Ministry of National Security of Turkmenistan. This was reported by ACCA sources.
Khydyrov Muhammad is the brother of the activist Kakamurad Khydyrov who lives in Great Britain. Muhammad is under round-the-clock surveillance, his phone, the phones of relatives, and close friends are wiretapped.
As it became known to ACCA, the MNS officers come to Muhammad’s home, as if to their own house, and threaten to force him to participate in the creation of videos condemning his brother, Kakamurad Hydyrov. There is a video on YouTube in which Muhammad was forced to disown his brother. He was forced to take such a step so as not to end up in prison.
The activist Kakamurad himself also receives threats, and if he does not stop his speeches and does not stop criticizing the government and the president of Turkmenistan, he will never see his brother again. An ACCA source said that Muhammad’s relations with neighbors are not developing in the best way either. The security forces are forcing the neighbors not to communicate with him by threats and blackmail, the doors to the houses of neighbors and friends are now closed for Muhammad, he has become a lonely outcast.
Muhammad graduated from the Volgograd Agricultural Institute with a degree in agricultural machinery mechanics and worked at Selkhoztekhnika according to his education. After his brother’s speeches, he was fired from his job and now works as a watchman, the salary is small and he has to earn money, doing the dirtiest and shift job for a pittance. Employees of the Ministry of National Security do not allow him to get a better-paid job. They immediately call the company where Muhammad goes to find a job and demand not to hire him.
His wife Jennet, unable to withstand all the bullying from the MNS, filed for divorce and now lives separately with her daughter. She worked in the regional maternity hospital in Dashoguz and held the position of head of the children’s intensive care unit, specializing in neonatology and children’s intensive care. After Kakamurad Khydyrov’s speeches, the MNS officers forced her to leave her position as head of the department and then quit the hospital of her own free will. Jennette quit her job and got a job in another hospital and now works outside her major.
