Kyrgyzstan: the official sold land illegally

Employees of the local self-government of the Osh region were detained for the illegal sale of agricultural land. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security of the Republic.

It is clarified that, in pre-trial proceedings, it was possible to establish that the head of the Nariman rural district, in collusion with the ex-acting head of the state institution “Cadastre” of the Kara-Suu district, for a long time, illegally sold agricultural land for the construction of private houses.

At present, both malefactors have been detained and installed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security of the republic. A criminal case was initiated against them under Article 319, namely Corruption.

“At present, all the necessary investigative and operational measures are being carried out to expose other persons involved and to establish the damage caused to the state,” the State Committee for National Security explained.
