Kyrgyzstan: Surakmatov concluded an agreement with the investigation and paid $ 1.7 million

Ex-mayor of Bishkek city Aziz Surakmatov concluded an agreement with the investigation in the framework of a criminal case. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security.

During the investigation of the pre-trial proceedings, an agreement on cooperation with the investigation was concluded with Aziz Surakmatov. He testified on the facts of the illegal allocation of land plots on the territory of the city of Bishkek. Surakmatov also paid $ 1.7 million (150 million KGS) out of $ 2 million (170 million KGS) as damages.

The rest of the damage will be reimbursed by Aziz Surakmatov according to the repayment schedule.

It’s worth adding that the decision of the Pervomaiskiy court changed the measure of restraint for the ex-mayor from detention to recognizance with restricted travel.

The investigation of the criminal case continues. Investigative and operational measures are being taken to identify all other persons involved in this case.
