Kyrgyzstan: the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs threatens a servicewoman for telling about embezzlement

A servicewoman of the contract service of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, corporal Natalya Silina reported threats from the leadership of the Department. The woman is worried about her physical safety.

According to Natalya Silina, after she told reporters about the difficult financial situation and the unseemly situation that had developed in the Internal Troops, as well as about a bonus of $ 31.2 thousand (2.6 million KGS), which the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic wrote for themselves, she began to receive threats.

“I am constantly being pressured by “well-wishers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the special forces “Sher”. I am threatened if I don’t give up my accusations and claims against the leadership of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I have already repeatedly seen at the house, where I rent a room, people watching me from a car without license plates,” Natalya Silina said during a frank conversation with the Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Considering all of the above, Natalya Silina and her lawyer, retired colonel of the Internal Troops, Yuri Skatnevsky, appealed to Ombudsman Tokon Mamytov with a request to protect legal rights and interests, as well as assist in ensuring Natalya’s personal safety.
