An emergency occurred at the night of July 31 in the city of Shu in Zhambyl region (Kazakhstan). Drug control officers stopped a local resident’s car for inspection. However, as a result of the search, they did not find anything. According to eyewitnesses, the police officers, annoyed by the failure, tried to plant drugs in the car in order to detain the driver. However, they failed to do that.
The details of that night were filmed and uploaded to the network (https://youtu.be/fOUagGa4kqE). The video shows how several policemen are surrounded by a crowd of indignant people. The detainee himself screams that he does not relate to these drugs. On the perimeter of the skirmish, the SWAT cordon is exposed.
According to the townspeople, the local police have been terrorizing them for a long time. Innocent people are detained, drugs are thrown at them, and taken to the police station. Then after processing they demand money from them. If the detainee refuses to pay, then criminal proceedings are instituted against him for possession and distribution of drugs.
However, that time the police failed to realize their plan. Fellow-citizens came to help the stopped car owner came and did not allow the police to do lawlessness.
“Stop doing lawlessness,” people shout. “We won’t give him to you and we won’t go anywhere. Shame on the police!”
An attempt to protect the driver turned into a spontaneous rally against police lawlessness actions.
“You live off our taxes!” people were exasperating. “And do lawlessness!”
As a result of the resistance organized by the Shu residents, the police were forced to leave that place. One of the police chiefs even apologized to people for the incident.
Meanwhile, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, the residents of Shu, since the city is located near the Chuy valley, make a loving by procurement and trading marijuana. “That day, there was an assignment. The police received a tip about that vehicle. But as a result of the search, nothing was found,” a source in the Ministry said.
The Interior Ministry also confirmed that the detention was carried out in the city, next to the suspect’s house. During the check of the car, relatives and neighbors jumped out to help the driver, took the policemen into a dense ring and made a noise.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also denied the information that the police tried to plant drugs in the car. According to the Agency, the special operation was carried out by forces of the “Delta-Valley” special forces, whose main task is “exemption drugs, and not planting them.”
The special unit “Delta-Valley” was created in 2007 to combat the drug business in Chuy Valley, which is one of the largest drug supply bases in Central Asia.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also clarified that since the beginning of the year, 1.5 tons of marijuana, 20 kilograms of hashish and 6 kilograms of heroin were seized in Shu district.
It should be added that clashes between Shu residents and the police occur quite often. And they do not always end well. For example, on July 11 of the current year, the official representative of Police Department of Zhambyl oblast, Gulsara Mukhtarkulova, reported the murder of police officer Baghdat Mamileev.
“His remains were found 15 kilometers from Shu. The policeman was first stabbed in the heart, and then his body was burned. In order to solve this crime, an investigative task force has been created from among the experienced officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Police Department,” said Mukhtarkulova.
