The role of representatives of the official Russian media has become a key one in holding the media week “New Uzbekistan. A New look” from 3 to 7 May. For the organizers of the event, the master class of Dmitry Kiselev, general director of Russia Today news agency, became symbolic. He shared with colleagues his thoughts concerning the technology of personal success on television.
“There is an ideological closeness between Uzbek and Russian media workers who defend national values,” the ACCA expert notes. “Kiselev urged to burn the hearts of gays after death. He positions himself as an adherent of “distilled” journalism. This is what Uzbek propagandists need in managing media.”
The journalist Boris Maksudov (Russia 24 TV channel) closely communicates with young Uzbek journalists. Russian TV director Saida Medvedeva will conduct a training for the staff of the Agency of cinematography. In her filmography, the documentary “The President” about Putin is especially famous. Her new hero will be Shavkat Mirziyoev in the new film “Uzbekistan. A renewing history”, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence.
No less significant in the media week was the participation of the German media expert Rene Falkner. For many years, he has been conducting training seminars for employees of non-state TV channels in Uzbekistan, each time complimenting the growing level of professionalism of the participants.
The organizers of the media week are the National Association of Electronic Media of Uzbekistan, MY5 TV channel, the Parliamentary Commission for the management of funds of the Public Foundation for the support of NGOs and other civil society institutions under the Oliy Majlis [the Senate] of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Commission for UNESCO, the University of Journalism and Mass Communications, the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan.
