Kazakhstan: authorities presented a mother of many children with a fake certificate for $ 4.7 thousand

Officials of the mayor’s office of Aktobe region apologized to the mother of many children, Aisulu Kuzdybaeva, for having presented her with a fake certificate in the amount of $ 4.7 thousand. More precisely, they apologized not for the fake itself, but for the fact that they incorrectly explained the situation to her.

The scandal erupted at the beginning of the month. On March 1, at the solemn celebration of the Day of Gratitude (this holiday was established by the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2016), the mayor of Aktobe region Ondasyn Orazalin presented Aisulu Kuzdybaeva with a certificate for $ 4.7 thousand.

“On behalf of ethnocultural associations, a certificate for the amount of $ 240 was presented to the worker Sezgul Kaliyeva; a certificate for $ 835 was received by the family of Zhetesov, who adopted 18 children of different nationalities. A certificate for $ 4.7 thousand was presented by the youth wing of the regional public organization “Association of Azerbaijanis” to the mother of many children, Aisulu Kuzdybaeva. These funds will be spent on capital repair of the house and the purchase of furniture,” was said in the official press release of the mayor’s office of Aktobe region.

However, as the mother of many children, Aisulu Kuzdybaeva, later said, she couldn’t cash this certificate, because, as it turned out, it was fake.

“The mayor of the region gave it. I thought I had this money. I also wanted to save up and buy another house. Our neighbors came and congratulated us. However, as it turned out, it was just a piece of paper,” Kuzdybaeva complained to journalists.

When the noise arose, the employees of the regional mayor’s office rushed to justify themselves. They said that the volunteers of the youth wing of the RPO “Association of Azerbaijanis” chipped in and helped the woman to repair the dorm room, where she huddles with her five children, and also bought the necessary furniture and equipment. Repairs and purchases cost exactly $ 4.7 thousand. And since the mayor is the chairman of the regional branch of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, which includes the Association of Azerbaijanis, it turns out that it was the mayor’s office that provided the woman with the necessary assistance. In addition, the officials said they had notified Kuzdybaeva that the certificate had no value and was only evidence of assistance that she received.

As a result of the proceedings, the woman was forced to apologize to the mayor’s office for misunderstanding them. In turn, the officials themselves also apologized to her for not correctly explaining the situation.

Meanwhile, Aisulu Kuzdybaeva dreamed that she would spend the certificate for a cash down payment in order to purchase her own house.
