Kyrgyzstan: an employee of the Chamber of Accounts was detained on the fact of extortion of a bribe

A senior inspector of the territorial subdivision of the Chamber of Accounts of Kyrgyzstan in Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions was detained on the fact of extortion and taking a bribe.

The inspector of the Chamber of Accounts conducted an audit of budget execution in three rural districts of At-Bashy and extorted a bribe for issuing a positive act based on the audit results.

“In particular, he received $ 709 (60,000 KGS) from the head of one of the rural districts of At-Bashy (Naryn region). The detainee was placed in the temporary detention center of the Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Naryn,” the State Committee for National Security reports.
