Kyrgyzstan: Investigator of Internal Affairs Department was arrested for bribe

The Financial Police received a statement on the fact of extortion of money by the investigator of the Department of Internal Affairs of Lenin district of Bishkek for a positive solution of some issue.

In the course of carrying out the relevant measures, the investigator of the Internal Affairs Department of Lenin district of Bishkek was caught red-handed by the officers of the Financial Police while receiving a bribe.

“A measure of restraint was applied to the detainee by Pervomaisky District Court in the form of detention in pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Bishkek for a period of two months,” the Financial Police said.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
