Kyrgyzstan: officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was detained on the fact of extortion of a bribe

While receiving the money, the Senior Investigator for especially important cases of the Department of Internal Affairs of Moskovsky district was detained red-handed. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security.

It was established that the detainee extorted money from a citizen for issuing a refusal order for pre-trial proceedings.

“As a result of a search of the office, a part of the money, previously received as a bribe, was found,” the Department said.

This fact is registered in the Unified Register under article 326 of part 1 “Extortion of a bribe” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detainee was placed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security.
