Kazakhstan: having lost an apartment, a disabled person threatens to immolate herself

Kamilla Adieva, a resident of Almaty, a disabled person of the 2nd group, threatens to commit an act of self-immolation on February 9 in the building of the City Prosecutor’s Office. The reason, that prompted the woman to take such a desperate step, was the actions of a private executor.

In the statement circulated by Adieva among the media, it is reported that she lost her only housing due to the actions of the private executor Almasbek Eltokov.

“The larceny of property of the disabled person of the 2nd group, K.K. Adieva, was occurred as a result of inaction and possible connivance on the part of law enforcement and supervisory authorities of Almaty. Within five years, the law enforcement agency didn’t take measures to protect the property rights of the disabled person of the 2nd group K.K. Adieva, who suffered from the alleged fraudulent schemes of the private executor A.S. Eltokov. The disabled person of the 2nd group is ready for self-immolation in the building of the City Prosecutor’s Office on February 9 at 12.00,” the statement says.
