Kyrgyzstan: ex-head of State Committee for National Security is accused of misappropriation of 92 land plots

The former head of the State Committee for National Security, Abdil Segizbayev, received a 2.2-hectare land plot in the village of Koi-Tash (Chui oblast) and re-registered it to his relatives. This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It was established that Segizbayev and his relatives illegally got ownership of 92 land plots (18.4 hectares).

“Officials of Tash-Moynok rural district forged powers of attorney from the owners, who at that time left the country or died, with the aim of illegally taking possession of land plots. Then they filed lawsuits with the court of Alamudun district and subsequently, based on illegal court decisions, registered these plots as private property,” the Prosecutor General’s Office informs.

The collected materials were registered in the Unified Register under Article 319 of Part 1 “Corruption” of the Criminal Code, and pre-trial proceedings have been started.
