Kyrgyzstan: head of BishkekGlavArkhitektura was detained on corruption charges

The head of the municipal enterprise is accused of holding a fictitious auction for the provision of temporary use of land in the capital. This is reported by the State Committee for National Security of the republic.

The investigation found that in 2017, officials of the mayor’s office of Bishkek, the Land Resources Department and the municipal enterprise “BishkekGlavArkhitektura”, being in collusion, held fictitious tenders. As a result, land plots were given to dummies for temporary use.

As a result of the investigative and operational measures, on December 24, the head of the municipal enterprise “BishkekGlavArkhitektura” and a fictitious bidder were detained on the fact of corruption.

The materials of pre-trial proceedings are registered in the Unified Register of misdemeanors and crimes under Article 319 “Corruption” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The detainees were placed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security.
