Kyrgyzstan: Matraimov fully compensated damage to the state

Ex-customs officer Raiymbek Matraimov, suspected of involvement in corruption schemes at customs, fully compensated damage to the state in the amount of $ 24.2 million (2 billion KGS). This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security of the republic.

As clarified in the Department, Matraimov transferred $ 16.9 million (1.4 billion KGS) to an economic amnesty account, which was opened in the Central Treasury, and reimbursed the remaining amount with property: he gave the state nine apartments and a shopping center worth $ 7.3 million (600 million KGS).

“In the very near future, the materials of the case of Matraimov will be submitted to the court for consideration on the merits,” said the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchibek Tashiev.

According to preliminary information, it was decided to transfer the apartments to the distinguished employees of the State Committee for National Security.
