Kyrgyzstan: ex-deputy head of the State Committee for National Security was declared wanted

The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic continues the pre-trial proceedings on the fact of jewelry smuggling on an especially large scale by individual suppliers in collusion with employees of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan.

Within the framework of the above-mentioned pre-trial proceedings, incontrovertible evidence was obtained concerning the involvement in this crime of the ex-deputy head of the State Committee Bolot Suymbayev, who was repeatedly summoned for interrogation.

“Because of Suymbayev’s default, the investigative bodies of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic issued a notice in absentia of suspicion of committing a crime under article 320 part 3 “Abuse of official position” and 223 part 2 “Economic smuggling”. In addition, he was put on the wanted list,” the State Committee for National Security reports.

Currently, the investigative group is carrying out investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the committed crimes.
