On suspicion of abuse of power, the head of the Department of freight transportation and commercial work of the state enterprise “Kyrgyz Railroad” [“Kyrgyz Temir Jolu”] was detained. This was reported by the Financial Police.
Responsible persons of the state-owned enterprise carried out illegal cutting of wagons. The state budget suffered significant damage.
“These wagons are on the balance sheet of the state enterprise. Their write-off must be made in agreement with the State Property Management Fund. However, they did not receive the appropriate permission. Consequently, the actions of individual responsible persons of the state enterprise “Kyrgyz Railroad” [“Kyrgyz Temir Jolu”] are not justified and illegal,” the State Service for combating economic crimes clarified.
The person, detained today by Pervomaisky District court of Bishkek, will be chosen a preventive measure.
