Kyrgyzstan: employees of the Education Center stole $ 1.1 million from the budget

“Investigators of the State Committee for National Security revealed the fact of theft on an especially large scale in the Education Center of Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek,” the press service of the State Committee reported.

According to preliminary data, former employees of the Education Center, in collusion with the former head of the Department of the Ministry of Finance of Oktyabrsky district, took possession of $ 1.1 million (90 million KGS) from the local budget.

“At present, a complex of investigative and operational measures is being carried out in the criminal case aimed at identifying and bringing to trial all persons involved in this crime,” the State Committee for National Security specifies.
