Two days running, the judges got into the news of Uzbek sites. Two drunken judges got into a fight with road patrol officers, and the third judge was caught taking a bribe.
On October 4, a judge of the Interdistrict Criminal Court of Urgench (Khorezm region) was caught taking a bribe. The details of the bribe-taker and his counterpart were not disclosed. It is known that a certain A.S. wanted to get a bribe from H.R. in the amount of $ 1200. A criminal case was initiated on this fact and the suspect was taken into custody.
Meanwhile, on October 3, two drunken judges were returning to Tashkent from Parkent district of Tashkent region after drinking alcohol in one of the cafes. On a tip from someone, they were stopped by traffic police officers to check their documents, which infuriated those in the car. Under the influence of alcohol, they began a scuffle and refused to obey the legal requirements of law enforcement officers.
After verbal abuse, one of the judges hit a traffic police officer and, as noted in the publication, “inflicted bodily harm on him”. It is not known whether the legalists were armed. Since 2018, they have been allowed to carry firearms.
On July 14, 2020, the officers of the Internal Affairs authorities and the National Guard have already used force against a court employee in Gulistan. He was not allowed into the city and then, as the Uzbek media wrote, “they insulted his personality, honor and dignity, the judge’s post and inflicted bodily harm”.
