Kyrgyzstan: detained officer for extortion of State Committee for National Security is terminated

The security service of the State Committee for National Security has completed an internal investigation into an employee suspected of extortion.

As established in the course of the internal investigation, on September 4 this year in Bishkek, employees of the Financial Police, together with the SSI SCNS, in the framework of pre-trial proceedings under article 326 “Extortion of a bribe” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, detained an employee of the SCNS red-handed while receiving $ 1,000.

As a result of an official investigation, he was terminated from the national security agencies.

“Currently pre-trial proceedings on this fact are being carried out by the investigating authorities. The case was taken under the personal control of the leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the State Committee for National Security and the Financial Police, ”commented by the State Committee.
