Kyrgyzstan: two officers of the State Committee for National Security detained for extortion

In Bishkek, two employees of the State Committee for National Security were detained on suspicion of extorting a bribe from a private entrepreneur. ACCA was informed about this by a source in the supervisory authority.

During the operation, on September 4, officers of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes detained two operatives of the State Committee for National Security.

The reason for the operation was the businessman’s appeal to the Financial Police.

“The businessman filed a report to the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes that their employees were extorting money. However, the check showed that the extortionists are in fact employees of the State Committee for National Security. The perpetrators were detained, ”the source explained.
