Tajikistan: a police officer was detained for a bribe of $60 000

The Anti-Corruption Agency of Tajikistan detained an employee of the Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and his accomplices for receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.

According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Amrullo Mirzoev, in a preliminary conspiracy with Sino Yusupov and other accomplices, demanded in total about $60 000 from three citizens of the country. In return, they promised citizens to help with the parcellation. After receiving a bribe, corrupt officials were detained. A criminal case has been instituted under part 247 (Fraud on an especially large scale). The investigation in this case continues.

Recall that last week, employees of the Anti-Corruption Agency, when receiving a bribe, detained the head of the court of Aininsky district Sharif Tursunzoda, who demanded $1500 from them for the exoneration of criminals.

On June 8, the mayor of Kulob Bahrom Inoyatzoda was arrested. The State Committee for National Security accuses him of committing a corruption crime.
