In Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Minister of Transport was detained for giving a bribe

Jenishbek Nogoibaev, Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads, was detained for transferring a bribe to an employee of the State Committee for National Security. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security.

The official was detained while giving a bribe in the amount of $ 10 000.

It was established that the Deputy Minister gave money to an employee of the State Committee for National Security for stopping criminal prosecution in relation to employees of the State Agency for Road, Water Transport and Weight and Dimension Control, who are involved in pre-trial proceedings.

Together with him, the director of the State Agency for Road, Water Transport and Weight and Dimension Control, Anarbek Bekmuratov, is suspected of corruption.

Materials of pre-trial proceedings are registered in the Unified Register on the grounds of a crime under article 328 of part 3 “Giving a bribe” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detainees were placed in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS. An investigation is underway.
