In Kyrgyzstan, administration of the Judicial Department under the Supreme Court is accused of corruption

When holding tenders for the repair of the buildings of the Pervomaisky District court of Bishkek and the Judicial Department, individual officials received a large bribe from a private entrepreneur for concluding contracts for repair work. The State Committee for National Security informs about this.

It is noted that direct evidence was obtained concerning the involvement of the administration of the Judicial Department in the above crimes.

“According to the results of the investigative actions, the state secretary of the Judicial Department, the head of one of the departments (a preventive measure in the form of detention), the chief specialist, and the engineer were prosecuted,” the State Committee added.

On January 31, 2020, the former Director of the Judicial Department was also notified of the suspicion of having committed the aforementioned crimes. On the same day, the Pervomaisky District court of Bishkek chose a preventive measure in respect of him in the form of detention.
