In Turkmenistan, the company of the President’s brother-in-law won another tender

On January 6, the President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov ordered to hold a tender for the construction of a new roundabout with a monument in Ashgabat. On January 10, Berdymukhamedov awarded a contract for the design and construction of a road junction to the Turkmen company “Nusay yollary”.

According to ACCA sources, this company is one of the contractors for the construction of the first highway worth $2.3 billion, and it belongs to the brother-in-law of the President, Annanazar Redjepov, the husband of the President’s sister Durdynabat Redjepova.

According to business sources, a part of the financing of the construction project was entrusted to local entrepreneurs from the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. They were forced to collect $50 thousand from each. “Nusay yollary” company’s activity ranges from food trade to industrial construction, with annual revenues of over $30 million.

Construction work will begin in January, and the construction project will be completed in September 2020.
