In Kazakhstan, director of college was fined $18 000

The Anti-Corruption Agency of Kazakhstan has completed the investigation regarding the director of the Polytechnic college of Arkalyk, who was suspected of embezzlement of budget funds.

According to the press service of the department, A. Ospanov unreasonably charged additional rates to the salaries of college teachers and appropriated this money.

Upon completion of the pre-trial investigation, the case materials were transferred to the City court of Arkalyk, which found Ospanov guilty of the act incriminated to him and sentenced the director of the college to the fine of $18 000. In addition, the court deprived Ospanov of his right to hold public service posts for life.
