Kyrgyzstan: The detained 19-year-old blogger was urgently hospitalized

Due to health problems, 19-year-old blogger Yrys Zhekshenaliev, who was detained for calling for disobedience to the lawful demands of government officials and mass riots, was hospitalized.

The blogger’s relatives have reported his health problems before. However, the investigator didn’t think much of it. As it turned out, the young man has heart problems.

He has now been taken to the hospital for checkup and treatment.

It should be recalled that Yrys Zhekshenaliev (a blogger and administrator of Polit Prisoner [Political Prisoner] Facebook page) is suspected of calling for active disobedience to the lawful demands of government officials and riots. In this case, he was detained and taken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs on August 14 this year. He was placed in pre-trial detention center No. 1 of Bishkek.
