Kyrgyzstan: The President awarded the title of ‘Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic’ to the head of the State Committee for National Security

The press service of the head of state reported that four Kyrgyzstanis were awarded the title of ‘Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic’.

The highest honorary title ‘Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic’ with a special badge ‘Ak Shumkar’ (White Falcon) was awarded to five Kyrgyzstanis.

Among them are three statesmen, one film director and the current head of the State Committee for National Security – Kamchibek Tashiev. It is known that this award is given for special services to the state and people of Kyrgyzstan.

President Sadyr Japarov signed the decree awarding Tashiev the title of hero.

It should be noted that Kamchibek Tashiev was appointed to the post of Chairman of the State Committee for National Security on October 16, 2020, that is, the day after Sadyr Japarov became the acting President of Kyrgyzstan. Prior to that, he was a deputy, the highest post he held was Minister for Emergency Situations (2007-2009).
