Kyrgyzstan: police officers who raped a 13-year-old girl were sentenced to 15 years in prison

The court recognized all three rapists of the 13-year-old girl and sentenced them to prison terms of 10 to 15 years.

On August 30, a judge of the Sverdlovsk District Court of Bishkek sentenced two policemen and a loader from the Dordoi market in the case of the rape of a 13-year-old girl.

They were accused of committing crimes under the articles “Compulsion to act of a sexual nature against minors”, “Abuse of official position” and “Unauthorized appropriation of title or power by an official” of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the trial, the judge found the defendants guilty.

Thus, the previously convicted 41-year-old loader of the Dordoi market was sentenced to 10 years in prison, the 39-year-old inspector of the department for working with minors of the Leninsky District Department of Internal Affairs, and the 34-year-old district police officer of the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs, police lieutenant, to 15 years in prison.

In addition, the perpetrators will pay the victim $1,240 (100,000 soms), a total of $3,720 (300,000 soms) as moral compensation.

We add that the lawyer and the girl’s parents asked for the maximum punishment for the charges.

Recall that the rape of a minor occurred in February of this year, and in March, the perpetrators were detained for this fact. The litigation began in early July.
