Kyrgyzstan: director of state institution detained on suspicion of corruption

On July 25, employees of the State Committee for National Security detained the director of the State Institution “Cadastre” of the Land Resources Service.

According to the State Committee, it has been established that the leadership of the state body has established a stable corruption scheme for extorting money from subordinates.

“During the investigation of the criminal case, the fact of another illegal deduction from the wages of employees of the state institution “Cadastre” of $40-$75 (3-6 thousand soms) was recorded under the pretext of transferring it to inspection bodies,” the State Committee for National Security explains.

On the basis of the evidence obtained, the director of the State Institution “Cadastre” was placed in the temporary detention center of the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee.
